Type of paper

Imitation Art Paper

Highly finished printing paper prepared by the addition of a high percentage of china clay to the pulp. It has a water finish, giving it a surface, opacity, and absorbency suitable for printing halftones. The distinction between art paper and imitation art paper is that in the former the clay is coated on the surface whereas in the latter it is mixed with the fibre.
