Type of paper

A paper coated with ground mica, usually of 180 mash or finer, incorporated with an adhesive, such as casein. Dyes may be added for tinting. The coated product may be calendered or embossed and is widely used for greeting folders, box coverings and other decorative purposes. The base paper is usually of chemical pulp. It should be well sized and of uniform formation and density.
