Type of paper

A specially prepared filter paper used for chemical analytical work. There are two principal types i.e. qualitative and quantitative. High retentiveness of fine precipitates and high filtering rates are important characteristics. In addition quantitative filters must have ash content in traces only Some grades are used in analysis in paper chromatographic methods.
