Type of paper

A paper containing a fluorescent material which absorb ultraviolet "black" light and re-emits it in the visible spectrum. Such papers glow brilliantly in various hues (depending on the fluorescent agent) with illuminated by ultraviolet energy. Bluish fluorescing colourless dyes or pigments are commonly employed in white papers to enhance brightness when viewed in daylight which contains some ultraviolet energy. This phenomenon is often referred to as optical bleaching.
