Constitution And Rules

1. The Executive Committee may, whenever they think fit, and shall on a requisition made in writing by at least 50 members or 1/4 of the total members, whichever is less, call an Extra Ordinary General Meeting.
2. Any requisition made by the Members shall state the subject to be discussed at the meeting proposed to be called and shall be signed by the requisitionists and deposited at the registered office of the Association.
3. If the Secretary or the President do not proceed within 15 days from the date of the requisition being so received to call a meeting, then the requisitionists may themselves call the meeting, but in either case any meeting so called shall be held within one month from the date of the deposit of the requisition.
4. At least 5 days' notice of every special General Meeting specifying the place, the day and hour of the meeting shall be given to the members but non receipt of such notice by any member shall not invalidate the proceedings of any General Meeting.
5. At least 7 days notice of any Ordinary General Meeting of the Association be given, and any subject relating to the accounts, the appointment of the auditors and the working of the Association may be discussed, but no resolution upon any such matter shall be put to the meeting unless 7 days' notice in writing shall have been given to the Executive Committee of the intention to move such resolution.
6. If within 45 minutes from the time appointed a quorum of members is not present, the meeting if called on the requisition of the members shall be dissolved.
7. The President may with the consensus of the members present in a meeting adjourn the meeting from time to time and from place to place but no business shall be transacted at an adjourned meeting other than the business left unfinished at meeting from which the adjournment took place.
8. At any General Meeting, a resolution put to the vote of the members shall be decided on show of hands unless a poll is (before or on the declaration of the result of the show of hands) demanded by 10 persons out of the members present and unless a poll is so demanded a declaration by the President that resolution has on a show of hands been carried or carried unanimously, or by a particular majority or lost as the case may be and an entry to that effect in the minute book of the Association shall be conclusive evidence of the fact, without proof of the number or the proportion of the votes recorded in favour or against the resolution. In case there be equality of votes, the President shall at such meeting both on a show of hands and on a poll be entitled to a casting vote in addition to the vote to which he may be entitled as a member.
9. If a poll is demanded in the manner aforesaid the same shall be taken in such manner as the President directs and the result of the poll shall be deemed to be the resolution of the meeting at which the poll was demanded.
10. Date of enrolment of member shall be indicated in the certificate issued by the Association.
